Docusign Plaza Added to National Register of Depressing Places

Unparalleled in its category

There’s a special spot downtown where the corporate canyons open up to reveal a cathedral of bummer businesses, with the electronic signature giant as its crown jewel. Now, the area is known to locals as Docusign Plaza is recognized for its architectural significance. "'Depressing' is truly an understatement in this case," said Jan Tiñon, who identifies such sites across the country for the NRDP. "There’s something about this particular office cluster that wants to convince you that life is not worth living."

Tiñon attributed the powerful aura not just to the online-paperwork icon, but to the nearby companies give the place its distinctive flavor. "Within a couple of blocks, you’ve got OpenAI, Blackstone and a Chipotle," she explained. "Together these three horsemen set the tone that absolutely nobody is having a good time down here.” she continued. "All you can do is stand in awe of the dismal end-game of all our endeavors."

But that’s just fine by Tiñon, who says she no longer cares about anything after spending a just few minutes in the area. "I say we go ahead and wrap it up," she added, referring to the human experiment. "I’ll sign those docs right now.”
