For decades, visitors to the Castro District have wondered what the neighborhood even stands for, and just who might live there. "You’d think by now they would have found some sort of theme," said tourist Bob Belund. "Sadly, there doesn’t seem to be a single thread tying this community together," he added. But locals are working hard to find a way to stand out. "We’re thinking we could become a destination for sandwich wraps," said one local council member. "Chicken caesar, maybe Thai-inspired wraps with peanut dressing–the possibilities are endless," he added. "We could get the lunch crowd."
