When polycules in Oakland grow large enough to create towel management opportunities, they call Brianna Dulkers, a matchmaker who specializes in finding that special twelfth or thirteenth person. "The people I work with are different, because they're not necessarily looking for love," Dulkers says. "They're looking for someone to take care of all the towels."
Desirable candidates not only need to take pride in the washing, folding and restocking of linens, but understand that the needs of the group may also include some light dusting. "At this stage of the polycule, my clients are going to be very selective about who they bring in," continued Dulkers, explaining that the right person for the role will be committed to using non-toxic cleaning products. "I tell my prospects, if you can find a solution for their Tupperware drawer, the sky is the limit in terms of them setting up a futon for you," she adds.
